Hi Guys going to Yuba Pass on Saturday 2/8/25

Thanks for the invite! I'm not at all a fan of Yuba... it's just trails with tons of trees. I'm currently looking to do Hope Valley on Saturday IF the snow on Thurs and Fri amounts to anything worthwhile. So far Blue Lake has only picked up 3" but Open Snow reports 11" at the snow park (go figure) which has supposedly been visually verified.
I drove out to the Gold Lake parking area today and the lot is totally bare and dry and the road is not good. I saw a snow depth "model" that suggests the area has upwards of eight feet above 7000' (the parking area is at 5500) but I'm not quite ready to believe it.
Honestly.. I'm not really into riding more hardpack. If we have at least 10 inches or more of fresh, I'm game. If not, I'll stay home and save my time and gas. Until we hit 18-20" of fresh, I'm not even willing to bring out the Khaos. This will be another ride on the M8 and a friend will be on his M7 or M8.
